I am facilitating a 13-week workshop called Finishing Well being held at Central Church of God in Charlotte, NC.
After years of working with people who needed to get their estate in order and make life less miserable for their executor, I decided this was a much-needed subject to teach. I am teaching a few of the session like getting data and paperwork organized and the medical ethics of dying. For nearly all the others I am having specialists come in.
We will have a care management expert, a hospice representative, estate planning attorney, funeral director, pastor and grief counselor teach some of the workshop sessions.We will also have people share who have been through care-giving for parents and others who have dealt with cancer.
If you live in the Charlotte area I encourage you to join us for this free series. It meets in Room 105 of the Family Life Center at Central Church of God on Sunday mornings at 10 AM.
If you have parents whose arrangements are not yet complete in the areas of care-giving, senior living arrangements, medical directives, will or trust, funeral arrangements and such this will help you get things in order. If you will be their executor, you will thank yourself many times over. If you are a senior yourself, this will give you the peace of mind of getting things organized and settled ahead of time and will be a great gift to your kids.
